Sole Mio Boutique Hotel & Wellness is pleased to welcome back local artist Kanchana Sutthikanchanakul, known as Yor Ying, for this year’s exhibition. Following last year’s showcase of Phuket seascapes, this new collection continues the artist’s inspiration drawn from tropical natural scenery through expressive oil paintings and vibrant color compositions. Featuring scenes inspired by tropical elements such as lush vegetation, as well as nearby coastlines including Layan and Surin Beach, the works capture quiet moments in nature and reflect the atmosphere of Phuket through the artist’s personal perspective.

• Banana Trees: A lively portrayal of tropical banana plants rising among dense greenery, capturing the vibrant energy and layered textures of Southern Thailand’s natural landscape.
• Orchid Bloom: A dramatic composition highlighting the delicate beauty of tropical orchids, emerging from deep textures and rich colors that emphasize their elegance and resilience.
• Layan Beach: A quiet moment along Phuket’s northern coastline, where gentle waves meet grassy shores, reflecting the calm and contemplative atmosphere of Layan’s peaceful seaside.
• Surin Beach: A colorful portrayal of one of Phuket’s well-known beaches, where the turquoise Andaman Sea and warm sands come together to express the lively character of the island’s shoreline.

About the Artist

Kanchana Sutthikanchanakul, or Yor Ying, is a Phuket-born artist whose contemporary impressionist style breathes life into southern Thailand’s coastal landscapes. Using palette knives and oil on canvas, she crafts vivid, textured works that evoke the emotional rhythm of the region. Her recent exhibitions, including GUANYIN PUSA at Limelight Avenue Phuket and Look My Art – See My Mind at Vanich Legacy Art Gallery & Museum, have garnered widespread acclaim. Phuket Seascapes offers a personal and poetic reflection of island life.
