Sole Mio Boutique Hotel & Wellness proudly presents Phuket Seascapes by Aree Kongpol, a distinguished Thai artist renowned for his intricate oil paintings that weave human emotion with the vibrant biodiversity of Thailand’s coastal waters. His collections, Andaman’s Jewels and The Spirit of the Sea, showcase serene feminine figures intertwined with dynamic marine ecosystems, rendered in radiant colors and delicate brushwork. Each piece evokes a meditative harmony between humanity and the ocean’s vibrant life.

Featured Artworks

• Andaman’s Jewel I – A vibrant celebration of the Andaman Sea’s biodiversity, featuring coral, dolphins, and a luminous female figure. The lionfish, native to the Indo-Pacific, adds a striking element with its vivid fins.
• Andaman’s Jewel II – A companion piece that continues the narrative of beauty and marine life, highlighting dolphins—a symbol of a healthy ecosystem—found near Phuket’s Mai Ton and Similan Islands.
• The Spirit of the Sea I – A tranquil portrayal of feminine emotion enveloped by sea fans and coral, symbolizing resilience and connection in the Andaman Sea’s rich ecosystem.
• The Spirit of the Sea II – A harmonious blend of serenity and natural movement, inspired by Thailand’s biodiverse marine parks like Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi.

About the Artist

Aree Kongpol, hailing from Trang Province, is a celebrated artist and former educator at Phuket Rajabhat and Songkhla University. A graduate of Prince of Songkhla University, Pattani, his refined oil painting techniques blend human expression with spiritual and natural elements.

His work has been showcased at prestigious events, including the Thailand Biennale Korat 2021 and workshops across Indonesia, Malaysia, and Krabi. Aree is also the author of Oil Painting of Ari Kongphon and is recognized for his series of over 100 portraits honoring King Rama IX.
