Sole Mio Boutique Hotel & Wellness is delighted to present A Face Across Worlds by Phuket-based artist Kallaya Pechpong. Rooted in childhood memories and imaginative play, her evocative oil paintings weave nostalgia, feminine identity, and Southern Thai heritage into vibrant visual narratives. Each work transforms flowing hair into dreamlike landscapes filled with symbolic fish, waves, lace, and pateh-inspired patterns, inviting viewers to explore a world of memory and universal storytelling.

Featured Artworks

• Ocean Memory – A captivating portrayal of Southern Thailand’s coastal rhythm, where batik-inspired fish glide through currents of thought, framed by scalloped pateh patterns that evoke motion, calm, and childhood dreams.
• Blossoms in Her Mind – A vibrant fusion of lace flowers and pateh-like fish set against tropical energy, inspired by Southern Thai gardens and temple cloth, merging femininity with the region’s rich textile heritage.
• Earrings of Heritage – A portrait adorned with Southern-style tassel earrings and floral pateh motifs, reflecting the Malay influence of Pattani and Yala, grounded in a golden palette of heritage and pride.
• Seaside Whispers – A windswept scene of Andaman life, with decorative fish and a small cat set against stilt houses and pearls, paying tribute to the rhythm of Southern Thai coastal villages.

About the Artist

Kallaya Pechpong, a Phuket-based artist and educator, holds a Master of Fine Arts from Silpakorn University. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she has nurtured creativity in the classroom while pursuing her own artistic journey. Known for her calm presence and thoughtful approach, Kallaya’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and community art initiatives across Thailand, celebrating storytelling, heritage, and emotional expression through her distinctive visual style.
